Summer and Fall is construction season and, in addition to regular paving proejcts, two major projects to improve conditions for bicyclists and pedestrians are coming soon.

Lucas Valley Road - Over five miles of Lucas Valley Road, between Big Rock and Nicasio Valley Road, will be repaved.  The current pavement will be ground up, treated, and used as a base for the new pavement and then a new asphalt overlay will be applied.  During construction the roadway will be subject to one-way traffic control and other delays.

Belvedere Drive (Strawberry) - Belvedere Drive will be repaved with a new asphalt overlay.  As part of the project a widened shoulder area with striping to separate it from the roadway will be added on the north side between Bayview Terrace and Ricardo Road.  This section does not currently have a sidewalk so pedestrians must walk in the roadway.  Belvedere Drive is the key neighborhood connection between the Strawberry Shopping Center and transit access to the west to Strawberry Elementary School and the community center to the east.  Construction is expected to begin in September.
